Appreciation Dinner

We all know that summertime is prime time for weddings. For all those working in the wedding industry, you know exactly how busy, and sometimes chaotic, this season can be. There is no set shift work, no 9-5 day schedule. It is literally devoting your early mornings and super late nights, dedicating these hours just to make sure your bride is beyond satisfied. And we do this because we love it, because it’s our passion.

Now that wedding season has slowed down for the winter months, we at Pearl Decor sat down and thought of a way to thank each one of our employees and vendors, whom without their help, we would be nowhere close to where we are today. Our Business Leaders put together a great idea of planning an Annual Vendor and Appreciation Dinner, as a token of appreciation, to really show how much we appreciate all of our awesome business partners.

Our Lead Floor Designer came up with such a unique concept and layout of how the evening would be setup. A never done before design was created, which featured many tables put together in order to create a final long table, enclosed by fabric and crystals all around. The long table was covered from start to finish with beautiful flower arrangements using red roses and different greens, custom designed by Ottawa Flowers. Flower petals, candles, crystal votives, and gold sequin tablecloths and runners decorated the table. Red and gold charger plates were placed in front of each seat, and tall golden candelabras were used as centerpieces to create the ultimate look.

The fun didn’t end there though. We really wanted to wow our special guests, and tried making every element of the evening unique. For chair covers, we used our exclusive fan chair covers, which resemble a flowy wedding dress. Red sashes embedded with rhinestone completed the chairs.

The most unique and difficult part of completing this look would have been enclosing the dinner area with a canopy. White sheer material and crystal curtains were used to achieve this look, and made the venue look heavenly. Our tech savvy team used uplighting throughout the venue to add even more pizzaz.

Speaking of dinner areas, our Event was held at St. Elias Banquet and Conference Centre. The venue of choice was based upon where Pearl Decor had the majority of its clients through the year. We wonder where we will be holding next year’s event!

Food throughout the evening was fantastic! Guests enjoyed cocktail hour before dinner. Dinner was delicious, and traditional Lebanese mezza was offered for appetizers. The main event was a deliciously marinated chicken atop of rice, and steamed vegetables. We loved it!

Desserts were a hit as well, served with tea or coffee. The amazing JS Creations Cake Emporium created a beautiful and delicious cake for everyone to indulge! A variety of great tasting pastries were supplied by the venue as well. Overall, you could say, guests enjoyed a nice rush of sugar!

Our CEO gave a very heartfelt and sincere speech during the evening, to express how thankful she is for all standing by her side throughout her journey. Because really, Pearl Decor is what we’d say a “baby company”, small and growing rapidly, with huge potential and amazing partners, employees, and clients! It was clear that every guest felt appreciated throughout the night.

All in all, the evening went above and beyond what was expected! Every one who came out had a good time, good vibes, and it was overall a great evening to socialize outside of the workplace! It was truly a night to remember, and it meant a lot to everyone at Pearl Decor!

We would like to thank all the vendors that showed up, amongst them Ottawa Flowers, Orchard View, RSVP-Events, Starfish Events, St Elias Banquet Hall, Beaudry Florists, DJ Tonee from Interlace Sounds, Photography by Emma, Nadine’s Photography and JS Emporium Creations, among other amazing wedding industry professionals!
